Pete Cashmore is the creator and founder of Mashable. Mashable is a blog which has established itself as the premier place to discover trends in the digital world. It is a Technorati Top 10 blog. with millions of unique users. As the result of his publication, Cashmore has a channel to reach and influence millions around the world.

Pete Cashmore grew up Banchory. He was born September 18, 1985. At the age of 20, he founded Mashable. Pete Cashmore has been recognized as a leader in the technology world by experts and media outlets around the globe. Inc. Magazine called him as one of 2009’s “30 Under 30” and Forbes labeled him a “Top 25 Web Celeb”. The Huffington Post recognized him as a “Top 10 Game Changer” in 2009.

Cashmore previously wrote a weekly column on technology and social media for CNN. In 2012, Time Magazine listed him as of the 100 most influential people. And in 2017, he sold Mashable to Ziff Davis for 50 million dollars.

But in November of 2018, his social media profiles were edited to reflect that he was “Taking some time off and working on something new.” Shortly after, he left Mashable, leaving us to wonder what his next move would be. We can only speculate that he has taken time off to focus on his family and new projects. But what his next venture is, has yet to be seen. Whatever it is, it will be something with a large impact.
